How much control do you have over your printed data?
Your organization probably has layers of security protecting digital data. But what happens when that data is printed?
Printed documents may contain sensitive data such as customer names, contact information, or financial records. Yet employees still print them as part of their everyday work.
Without controls at the point of printing, organizations risk exposing sensitive information on paper and may have little ability to detect misuse.

Make every printout visible, traceable, and accountable
With Fasoo Smart Print (FSP), your printouts are no longer a security risk. Visible watermarks discourage unauthorized distribution while invisible watermarks preserve traceability without disrupting the appearance of the document. Sensitive information such as PII is automatically masked before it reaches paper. If a leak occurs, detailed records and logs help identify the source of the leak.
Visible/Invisible Watermarks
Apply visible watermarks that deter unauthorized sharing or try out invisible watermarks that keep sensitive documents traceable without altering their exterior.
PII Data Masking
Prevent sensitive data from being printed by automatically masking sensitive PII.
Forensic Tracing
Trace leaked printouts back to their source with identifiers and detailed print activity records.

FAQ
What's the difference between masking and watermarking?
Masking removes or redacts sensitive fields (account numbers, national IDs) from the printed output, including image-based documents via OCR. Watermarking stamps each page with the printer’s identity: a visible deterrent and a way to trace a leaked printout back to its source.
Can FSP stop someone from walking out with a printed document?
FSP cannot physically stop paper from leaving the building, but what it can do is:
- block or require approval for printing sensitive documents,
- mask PII on the output, stamp every page with a visible watermark (who printed it, and when),
- and log every job, so a leaked printout points back to the person, device, and time
Does FSP help support compliance and audit requirements?
Yes. FSP supports the privacy and audit obligations behind major U.S. data-protection regulations, including HIPAA, GLBA, and CCPA, all of which require organizations to protect sensitive information by implementing appropriate safeguards.
Printing is a common breach channel. FSP masks PII on output, restricts or blocks printing of regulated data, watermarks every page, and logs every job, giving compliance and audit teams defensible evidence of control. FSP is one control that helps organizations meet these obligations.
Will Fasoo Smart Print (FSP) affect the performance of our daily business applications?
No. FSP applies print security policies at the output layer without requiring changes to underlying business applications, so day-to-day printing continues uninterrupted.
Does FSP support our existing printers, VDI, and remote work environments?
Yes. FSP works with any physical or virtual printer, eliminating problems from different printers or drivers, and across VDI and VPN environments.
How is FSP deployed?
FSP uses a client-server architecture: a single lightweight Fasoo client runs on each endpoint and enforces your policies, while a central server holds the policies, identities, and logs. Deploy it via endpoint, server, or API integration, and let Fasoo AI’s Live Update service keep every client patched automatically.
